Dotel, Blue Jays Agree On One-Year Deal
The Blue Jays have agreed to a one-year deal with reliever Octavio Dotel, according to a report.
Dotel's contract will pay him $2.75 million in 2011, and it includes a $3.75 million club option with a $750,000 buyout for the 2012 season.
He posted a 4.08 ERA and 22 saves with the Pirates, Dodgers and Rockies in 2010.
Brewers Add Saito To Bullpen
The Brewers have agreed to a one-year deal with right-handed reliever Takashi Saito.
Saito was 2-3 with a 2.83 ERA in 56 appearances for the Braves last season.
He has a 17-13 career record with a 2.19 ERA in five major league seasons with the Dodgers, Boston and Atlanta.
Phillies, Romero Agree To Contract
The Phillies have agreed to terms with reliever J.C. Romero, according to a source.
Philadelphia declined to exercise Romero's $4.5 million contract option for 2011, but they needed a lefty in the bullpen after a deal with Dennys Reyes fell through.
Rangers, Webb Agree To Deal
The Rangers have agreed to a one-year contract with right-hander Brandon Webb, according to a source.
The agreement is pending a physical.
Texas increased their pursuit of Webb two weeks ago when Cliff Lee decided to sign with Philadelphia.
Rangers, Rhodes Agree To Contract
The Rangers have agreed to a one-year contract with left-hander Arthur Rhodes, according to multiple reports.
The agreement includes a vesting option for 2012.
Rhodes, a 19-year-veteran, is coming off the first All-Star appearance of his career.
He went 4-4 with a 2.29 ERA for the Reds last season in 69 appearances. He had 50 strikeouts in 55 innings.
Indians, Buck Agree To Minors Deal
Travis Buck has signed a minor league contract with the Indians that includes an invitation to spring training.
Buck has spent four seasons with the Athletics.
He hit .288 with seven homers and 34 RBIs in 82 games as a rookie in 2007.
Counsell Returns To Brewers With One-Year Deal
Craig Counsell is returning for another season with the Brewers.
"That's what I'm going to say," the veteran joked when asked if he returned because Milwaukee acquired pitcher Zack Greinke.
The utility man will provide coverage at second, short and third base.
"He can back up all three infield positions with his experience," said general manager Doug Melvin. "He brings a quiet leadership to the ball club, and pretty well brings the same r?sum? he's brought for the past few years.
"He's a good bat off the bench and he always stays ready. And if he did have to step in and play a few days in a row, he's capable of doing that."
Ankiel Agrees To Deal With Nationals
The Nationals have agreed to a one-year, $1.5 million deal with Rick Ankiel.
The deal also includes $1.25 million in performance bonuses.
Ankiel will reportedly have a chance to compete with Roger Bernadina for the left field job after Josh Willingham was traded to the Athletics last week.

The Red Sox have come to terms on a contract with reliever Dan Wheeler, according to team sources.
Wheeler averaged 68 appearances per season for the Rays over the last three years.
